I'm sure by now anyone here that calls themselves a fan of the RPG genre has read the review of Recettear. If not, I will save you further embarrassment by letting you read about this pretty stellar game before I continue.

...Alright? We caught up now? Excellent, so now we can get on to the next point. Recettear may be a pretty great game, but it would of never made it here if not for the localization team Carpe Fulgur. They're a very tiny group, who have agreed to answer questions for their adoring fans (and maybe even a few from just the regular fans). So here I am, with this fancy list of questions that have been given to me by various other Recettear fans and I realize...maybe GU would like to ask them a few questions?

For those unsure what localization is, they're the guys who translate the game from (in this instance) Japanese to English. It's an interesting process, and again, something they're more than happy to answer some questions about!

I'll keep this thread going for a couple days to see if anyone has any particular questions you'd like answered, and you can look forward to seeing a full interview shortly after!

I'd be interested to know if they expected the level of attention the game has gotten, namely how "Capitalism ho!" and "Yayifications" have become basically memes.

This interview will be stained-glass yayness! Glad you are interviewing these guys. It should be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Anyways...This game. What a gem! Big Grin I seriously recommend it. It's my favourite indie game and is so addictive and charming.

As for a question, I can't think of one at the moment, but I look forward to the interview. Hope it all goes well Smile

After completing FFX, even Chuck Norris bowed to Auron's epicness.

I hear that sorting out external localization for Japanese games can be a long, tedious process that requires individual consultation of lots of people, owing to the way the Japanese handle intellectual property. Was this somewhat the case with Recettear, or was it fixed in an instant?
