xD Nice one Astharis. *Sigh* ok im trying to get a better mic... if i dont this comming weekend then I'll do the best with what i have and send in my audition...

Ok kinda straying off a bit but... what kind of mic is good? o.o Like, the mic having usb or a Mic jack make any difference? And what program do you use for recording? (In order to have everything in the best quality). I have a window's recording program that came with my comp and i also have audacity.. Many thanks to anyone who responds back!!

Heh, I have a Sennheiser condenser mic lying around downstairs.. And those, if you will spend the money, are really quite incredible (particularly for recording music performances).

If you want to get rid of the background noise and hear your voice clearly, i hear using pop filters can help.

We all record using Audacity and really we all use a variety of different microphones/headsets (from a range of budgets). Just take a recording with whatever you've got and see how it sounds. If you audition with whatever you have at present, and then Brian can advise you if you might need to get a better one or not.

The audition process is to find the talent, I very much doubt that anyone woulg be turned away on the simple basis of quality of microphone!

Yea, I use a Microsoft LifeChat if anyone is interested in purchasing really cheap but decent mics although mine tends to give a bit of hiss, so if you're really dedicated in finding good mics, I'd say shop around a bit, you're bound to find something, but ultimately if you just audition anyways, you should be fine. Brian would more than likely let you know what you would need.

And awww thats very nice to know. ^^' Well im going to try my best and see what happens.. my headset officially doesnt work anymore.. But I also wanted to know this not just for the audtion but also because i ALWAYS wanted to do some fandubs... :3
