This thread will discuss policies that have been implemented to the forum. These are active as of the 4th of June 2008.

Rules

Multiple Accounts: Having multiple accounts on the forum is not permitted. If you would like your name changed, or you made a mistake when you registered, please PM an administrator. DO NOT make a new account if you have been suspended. Creating a new account will not help your situation.

Moderator Decisions: If you do not agree with a moderator's decision, do not address the situation openly on the forums. Either PM the moderator themselves, or an administrator if you wish to complain.

Report Rule Breaking: It is much more helpful if you report people breaking the rules instead of trying to deal with it yourself.

Advertising: Do not advertise your website, product, skills anywhere other than your signature/profile. Making threads, or spam PM advertising will not be tolerated.

Illegal Activites: Do not discuss illegal activites on the forums. Examples of this could be warez, emulation or torrents.

Post in English: Posting in foreign languages or "1337" speak will not be tolerated unless it's in very small doses. The forum is an English forum, and it's important that people can understand each other.

Spam: Do not post comments that aren't relevant to the post topic as these are considered spam. This applies to short comments, such as "I agree", "This game sucks" or "Lol".

Try to keep your posts as constructive as possible and always keep them related to the topic at hand. If the post isn't going to add something to the discussion, then it's probably not worth posting.

Flaming: Do not insult other users. Just because someone posts something that you don't agree with, it doesn't mean you have the right to offend them by using derogatory terms. If you wish to formulate a constructive response and create a debate, then that is perfectly acceptable. This applies to both racist comments and general slander.

Duplicate Threads: Duplicate threads will be closed and removed. Please make sure you check to see if a topic has already been created before you post yours.

Reviving Old Threads: If a thread has been dorment for a while, then do not revive it with spamming irrelevant comments. If you can post something that is constructive to the thread and it is still relevant, then that's fine. However, if for example, you find a thread speculating about a game that's now released, there isn't really anything that can be added to further the thread's cause.

Double Posting: Double posting is prohibited. If you wish to add something more, edit your previous post.

Signature / Avatar Limits

Avatar Size: The avatar size is 120x120 or 40kb.

Avatar Content: It should not contain any nudity.

Signature Size: You are allowed to upload a signature to the size and it must not exceed 500x100. This applies to images which are hosted off-site too. Not all users have high resolutions and it's unfair on them if your signature is ridiculously large. If a signature has a 500x100 image in, a few lines of text are also permissable. Bottom-line, be sensible and think of others.

Signature Content: Your signature should not contain any nudity or derogatory comments towards other forum members.
