Yup, I used to LOVE playing Oregon trail.. wait, I still do X-D

I played a lot of the Jump Start Games growing up, but then I also had a Pocahontas game and a Lion King game for the PC where I could print out color book pages/connect dots/play matching games... and then finally.. and yes, it's still somewhere in my house, a Barbie fashion where you could make clothes for your Barbie. BEST GAME EVER growing up. :-P

That-was-an-awesome-game. In fact I wish I had it with me right now. I'm sure that with google, the game would be easy-peasy. The game used to tell you to look up the almanac for the answer to their detective-promoting question. The almanac! lmao

I had Oregon Trail, but I don't think I really understood how to play it. Tongue

  • Mario Typing.
  • Super Munchers. It was the best thing ever.
  • Shanghai?
  • That game where you had to get the stick to a goal or something, and there were fireballs and stuff... It swirled around these pegs. There were evil green blobs of acid. I can't remember what it was called. I'd love to play it again though because it was freaking IMPOSSIBLE to me as a kid

As I grow up, Mario Bros was the game I can't forget of playing. Then when PC got to be trendy PC games of GameHouse, PopCop and more was the ones I played between game overs, assignments and projects. Now, I still play those games, still Smile

wow, one of the older posts! i wonder if people still keep track of this? Big Grin

does anyone remember the jumpstart series? i grew up playing jumpstart 4th grade, that spooky-themed learning game where you have to save all your classmates (or so i remember) from monsters and misfortune by solving puzzles based on american education. being foreign to this, it was near impossible for me to solve a few riddles (considering i was just 10 years old at the time, lol).

i still remember the frustrations of trying to beat the "math vampire" on that pacman-esque maze where you have to solve simple math problems and 'acquire' the answer by going towards it, solving it while trying not to get caught by the vampire. lol the questions range from a simple 2+4 to more complicated ones such as 5 times square root of 7. i felt really dumb at times, having to cheat often by pulling out a calculator and alt+tabbing. haha. guilty is charged!

I'm a gamer by heart. Wink No sigs, nothing fancy, just all heart. Smile

o0o snap, did someone say Gizmos and Gadgets???

I was a huge fan of the Super Solver and Super Seeker series when I was a kid - Treasure Mountain, Cove and Mathstorm; Midnight Rescue, Outnumbered.

Nice to see that there's a healthy bunch that still remember edutainment games, they definitely made up a good portion of my younger gaming days.
