You can't really play as some of these guys.. but they are annoying none-the-less:

5. Rush, the Dog from Mega man.. definitely annoying.. Sure you can use him for spring boards, and jet surfing.. but he never stuck around for longer than 5 secs and cost energy to call for help.. "man's best friend" my arse..

4. Hyrule and Mushroom Kingdom guards.. incompetent, lose-bags.. I guess you can understand mushrooms getting dispatched easily, but come on.. you cannot manage to protect a princess game after game ... A small elf child and a drugged up plumber can take out an entire army.. yet you cannot keep one woman safe.. Guess we got to pick up the pieces.

3. Ninja Gaiden/Contra... bro stop dying so easily ... you got nipped by bullet or bitten by a bird... your ok...

2. Cait Sith from FFVII... just an epic fail all around... who plays as you? Your a cat who rides a stuffed animal .. who uses a mega phone. You stay on the bench kitty unless the story *must* have you in the mix.

1. That piece in Tetris that is shaped like a 'Z' .. I hate you.. you don't fit anywhere.. where is your cooler cousin that long straight piece?

I think that Riki from Xenoblade Chronicles is a pretty annoying character.

His look is fine (he sort of looks like a Poke'mon) but I find his voice to be really irritating. He talks like a Digimon combined with a baby combined with a Barney the Dinosaur character. That, and the fact that he constantly jumps all over the rest of the Xenoblade crew makes him get on my nerves more than any other game character this generation.

His only redeeming quality is his usefulness in combat. The final battle would have been much more difficult if I couldn't use Riki as a tank.

Oh, how about Natalya from Goldeneye? Not only was her voice obnoxious, but she would literally run into the line of fire when you're supposed to keep her alive.

And let's not forget the Control Room. God, I hated that mission. Protect Natalya while she types away at the friggin' keyboard for ten minutes, and kill anything that moves. Oh, and all she takes is a couple shots and it's done.

Haha, I think you can template that whole post as any escort event for gaming. Why are escorts so stupid? One I remember the most were the ones in World Of Warcraft. I used to get so mad I'd want to throw me keyboard when a dumb escort would go bolting after a huge group of baddies (Waaay off to the side) and die.

Anywho, for myself. Hate is a strong word for me. I wasn't going to post here til recently that changed. I played Uncharted 3. Yeah... Talbot.. here's looking at you. He just always had that stupid cocky look on his face and never died. That and you always had to chase him around and get drugged by him. By the end of the game I was screaming "JUST DIE ALREADY!!"

Talbot, I hate you.

PS. I also agree, Dog from Duck Hunt made me hate life.
