Gaming Union's had quite the rise into the video games industry so far eh? We've flown around the world to E3, TGS, and GamesCom; we have stacks of review games cluttering up our selves; we've interviewed so many industry greats, from Yoichi Wada, to Todd Howard; we've even
secured investors, a recent big win for Gaming Union that we didn't talk much about.
Not to mention I'm very proud that we've put together a great network of websites, and if I do say so myself, some of the best podcasts available to gamers. We have one amazing team of staffers that I'm happy to call my friends, and with all this in mind, it's very hard for me to say good bye.
It was a tough decision, but today I'm writing to announce that I've officially resigned from Gaming Union, voluntarily, to pursue a particular dream of mine. I don't have any details to share today on what I'm doing now, as things are still coming together, but I'll talk about them in the near future if all goes well (I'll throw them on
twitter.com/kylewynen); and to clarify, my plans do not relate to the video games industry.
Rest assured, and I'm sure many of you naturally would, but no less Gaming Union is in extremely capable hands, and will continue to rock its way further into the industry, and further grow the community here. Many may not know it, but Darryl and I have been equal partners until now, myself running North America affairs while Darryl heads up the European side. Gaming Union will soon choose another to head up North America affairs due to my departure, however that person has not yet been chosen, so look forward to an announcement on that in the coming weeks.
As for the podcasts, make sure to listen to the next episode of Final Fantasy Union on Tuesday, July 20th, as it also marks my last episode as host of the show, and my bittersweet departure from all of Gaming Union's podcasts. I'm actually in the process of editing this episode over the weekend, make sure to listen for the bonus ending after we say good bye!
And on that note, thanks for the support over the years everyone, it's been quite the adventure, and your support motivated me to do my part to make it all happen!
