You know I agree with the guy, whats happening in Japan can not be representative in Europe and North America for a couple reasons:

1.Japan has a population of over 127 million people. While North America and Europe have a combined population of over a billion people.

2.Japan has a totally different market when compared to North America or Europe.

3. The 3DS has over 4 million usits sold in US, so a majority of the sales come from North America. Who is to say the Vita won't succeed in North America/Europe

Statistically speaking the Vita could do even better in North America and Europe then in Japan but thats just statistics alone sometimes its right and sometimes its not.

You have to consider that 3DS did have a HUGE price cut, which most likely contributed to sales. And from what I heard, yes, there were 4 million sales of 3DS in the US, but that's after the 4 million sales of 3DS in Japan. The majority of sales aren't from the US, I believe. Either way, it's still cheaper than its competitor, the Vita. A Vita will cost at least $270 at launch, taking into account people will buy memory cards and already have games on PSN. I don't see how you can expect not to see a problem with other countries' launches. I'm gonna say that Western launches will have similar results. The 3DS had similar problems for their launches. I don't see Vita doing any different, at this rate anyway.

I'm not looking at this with the price cut included I'm looking at this from a statistical point of view. I said that the Vita will succeed but I don't remember saying 'when' it will succeed. I didn't say it will succeed at launch or next week or even a year from now. Of course the Vita will have problems its to be expected. Its life it always has problems no matter what you do, but you have to solve those problems and succeed.

We don't know the current worldwide sales of the 3DS I'm just speculating though just like what your doing with the Vita. I just hope that all devices succeed, I'm putting my hope into the Vita right now is that something I can't do. I'm planning to get the Vita and nothing is going to stop me not even a financial price range of this device. I want everyone to enjoy this device because of the potential it has. I could get a 3DS and be done with this useless argument, but I won't because its not my cup of tea.

Your looking at the picture, while I'm looking at the potential of the picture. We are seeing two completely different pictures.
