Quote:The World Ends With You is an excellent example of Square Enix trying something new and different. Set in Tokyo's Shibuya district, you join protagonist Neku as he's forced to play a mysterious game, with the penalty for failure being erasure. The story that follows takes place over a period of three weeks, in which Neku and his newfound partners must learn to trust each other or die.

Incredible game and didn't get the recognition it deserved. Unique battling, amazing music and a storyline I wasn't able to tear myself away from. Twice.

Have a game that's near 100% completion gathering dust in my bedside draw at the moment, in need of several pins and have to 4-star some monsters. Pretty sure I haven't seen the last of it yet.

So many people have now checked this game out due to its inclusion in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance.

Haha yeah, that is why I figured I'd write on it this week. Y'know, ride the wave of its recent re-rise in popularity ; ]

Being made by Square Enix is enough reason for me to get it.

its a shame that such an amazing game got poor sales, its my favourite ds game. Great story and characters, gameplay although a bit chaotic is super adictive, and you cant imagine how much i enjoyed hearing the soundtrack of this game. im a bit angry that i wont be able KH:DDD, TWEWY appearance in it is definately 1 of the reasons Tongue

When I first seen this game and it's style, I was interested but had no DS of my own. Then when I got a DS, I looked into the game seriously. However I was turned off when I watched a video that had a character screaming "Dumb###" repetitively. Not that the choice of words itself bothers me that much, but it felt like a repetitive use of a phrase that would get on my nerves.

Now seeing them being involved with KH:DDD, I am highly considering giving it a shot. That and I've seen too many Thumbs Up given to the title.

Thanks for the great read!

Certainly an innovative game and thoroughly enjoyed playing the game!

Obviously did better in sales in Japan. There are "rebels" in the west etc but to different cultural points (some get into music, skateboarding etc).
